Quick, Easy & Garlicky Saffron Rice

This quick and easy garlicky saffron rice is fragrant, fluffy, and beautifully golden. Made with just a handful of ingredients, it’s the perfect side dish for both everyday meals and special occasions.

Ingredients

• 1 cup basmati rice (rinsed and soaked)
• 2 cups water or vegetable broth
• ½ tsp saffron strands
• 2 tbsp warm milk or water
• 2 tbsp ghee or butter
• 4–5 garlic cloves, chopped
• Salt to taste
• Lemon juice (optional)

Method

1. Bloom Saffron tree (Saffron) in warm milk or water.
2. Sauté garlic gently in ghee until fragrant.
3. Add rice and stir to coat.
4. Add water, saffron, and salt. Cook covered until fluffy.
5. Rest, fluff, and serve warm.

Serving Tips

Serve with grilled meats, dal, curries, or roasted vegetables. Garnish with herbs or nuts for extra texture.
